Les Trésoms Lake and Spa Resort

Resorts Industrial & Imperial Era
4-Star 8.0(1060 reviews)
15 Boulevard de la Corniche, 74000 Annecy, France

Overview

Les Trésoms Lake & Spa Resort, more commonly known as Les Trésoms, is a luxury resort along Lake Annecy that dates back to the 19th century. Visitors with special events or occasions in mind have plenty of options available with the resort’s indoor and outdoor amenities, such as two restaurants, a spa, esplanades, and swimming pools. Its restaurant, La Rotonde des Trésoms, is a Michelin-starred establishment led by chef Eric Prowalski. Its proximity to Annecy’s cultural and natural attractions makes it an ideal locale for travelers seeking a luxurious and refreshing retreat amidst picturesque surroundings.

History

Les Trésoms has operated as a resort for the past 27 years under the stewardship of Véronique and Pascal Droux. They transformed the historic property—originally built in 1860 —through extensive renovation and thoughtful reinvention. Their vision reshaped the establishment into the destination it is today, blending heritage with purpose.

Early on, the couple instilled a sense of environmental responsibility into the project, working with local suppliers and partnering with them to support sustainable food growing. Until today, the property continues to maintain and nurture these partnerships, with most of the food ingredients used and products sold by the hotel being mainly sourced from those local partners.

In 2004, the resort became one of the first establishments to install a solar water heating system, pursuing corporate social responsibility measures to save energy and participating in the French government's decarbonization scheme. Other sustainability commitments pursued over the years include a 5000L rainwater recovery tank, near-total LED lighting coverage, and a biodigester for green waste. With these policies, the hotel would easily receive the Green Hotel certification in 2011, and the Accueil Velo label as well, marking its commitment to sustainable tourism.

To this day, the hotel continues its vision to provide a harmonious and welcoming environment for all its visitors.

Design and Architecture

Over the years, Les Trésoms has showcased architectural designs and features that blend traditional styles and modern amenities. In its initial construction during the 1860s, the building largely featured Art Nouveau aesthetics, especially in its glass paste and glass tiles. During the renovation process in the late 1990s and early 2000s, this aesthetic was carefully preserved and maintained throughout each of the resort’s rooms, villas, and facilities.

The resort features 5 types of rooms, all of which remain faithful to the Art Nouveau design and mostly feature a scenic view facing Lake Annecy or the Semnoz forest. Its two villas, Comme un jardin and Comme un voyage, contain identical features and designs to the regular rooms. Each villa can accommodate more than a dozen people, with individual swimming pools, private terraces, and gardens.
