La Terrasse dates back to 1850, and you can see features from the era here and there. Although it takes pride in its heritage, the hotel has undergone thoughtful renovations and updates to match contemporary needs. The owner, Émile Hanique, also dons the chef's hat and leads the restaurant, so you can expect refined gastronomic creations here. He ensures the property provides all modern facilities and services to guests by keeping it updated. For instance, the guest rooms were completely renovated in 2016 under his supervision.
Design and Architecture
The hotel's architecture and design showcase a harmonious blend of traditional styles and modern upgrades. The unassuming exterior will transport you back in time. While the rooms are mostly styled with modern furnishings, some of them also offer vintage touches for a more heritage feel. The lounge bar is the pièce de résistance, with its exposed stone and brick walls, vibrant painting, and a huge lit-up fresco on the ceiling.
