Nestled in the historic L’Écusson neighborhood, Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem is housed in a 16th-century building with stone walls and elegant arched windows. While the exterior is historic, the rooms are contemporary and elegant, complete with modern conveniences. A delicious continental breakfast can be served in rooms, in the dining area, or on the veranda for picturesque views of Montpellier. With its location, guests at Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem are in for an unforgettable stay. The hotel is only a few minutes away from some of the city's popular sights, including museums, towering cathedrals, and large town squares.

History

Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem is a charming hotel situated in a beautifully restored 16th-century residence. Not much is known about the hotel's history, but it's located in the L’Écusson neighborhood, home to the famous Arc de Triomphe and the Musée Fabre. Tourists and history enthusiasts frequent L’Écusson for its charming sidewalk cafes and townhouses with stone walls.

Although the property has existed since the 16th century, renovation projects (with the latest one completed in 2012) ensure that the hotel is up to modern standards.

Design and Architecture

From the outside, the hotel is reminiscent of the 16th-century private residences with its stone façade and elegant arches and windows. As a result of previous renovation projects, each room has its distinct character, offering panoramic views of Saint-Pierre Cathedral and the neighboring gardens.

Interior-wise, Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem is a fusion of period charm and modern conveniences. While the building is historic, all 35 rooms have contemporary interior design. Each room has its own color palette: from neutral grays, pastel pinks, and bright yellows, and is equipped with a television and minibar.

While the hotel is fairly modern, the rooms are not accessible to guests with limited mobility. However, pets are welcome in the hotel as long as they don't disturb other guests.
