Vivaana Culture Hotel

The haveli that would someday become the Vivaana Culture Hotel was built sometime back in the 19th century. It is situated in the town of Churi Ajitgarh, which is part of the Municipality of Mandawa. Mandawa itself was a vital merchant hub during the height of the Silk Road trade, and grew into prominence because of the wealth it brought to the region. The hotel actually consists of twin havelis that have since combined into a single property, now sharing beautiful gardens and courtyards where guests can spend their time leisurely.

Before establishing Vivaana Heritage Hotels, the Khanna family was merely undertaking architectural passion projects to restore Shekhawati's crumbling buildings and fading frescoes. They would dub their mission the Shekhawati Revival Project, intending to bring back the region's prominence when it comes to native art and design. Alongside the Kathika Trust, the company has restored properties and is now operating hotels in Mandawa, Nawalgarh, and Old Delhi. They have also been expanding into other regions, restoring the local art and buildings in Ramgarh and Mahansar, which will soon also be opened as heritage stays.

After dedicating much of their efforts and resources to revitalizing Rajasthan's art and culture, the Khanna family lets their works speak for themselves.
