The origins of the Fateh Prakash Palace are attributed to be around the time of the early 20th century , and are mainly borne out of the efforts and ideas of the local Rajput nobles. Like many of Udaipur’s wondrous heritage sites, the palace was the project of Maharana Fateh Singh, who wished to build a stately residence not just for his family but also for lodging esteemed royal guests.
