First built in the 19th century, Jee Ri Haveli is a sandstone manor that sits next to Gulab Sagar Lake. Guests can enjoy cool breezes blowing from the lake, flowing in through the ornate latticework and windows of their accommodations. It largely remained as a traditional haveli from that time onward, surviving various historical events such as both World Wars, the independence of India, and its transition into a republic. It was only in 2007 that the property was opened as a publicly available accommodation after a renovation process to fit it with modern features such as air conditioning and internet services while preserving its original designs and architecture.

Despite its relatively young age as a heritage stay, it has already garnered consistent awards for quality service and accommodations, being a winner of the Guest Review Awards of Booking.com in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Design and Architecture

Jee Ri Haveli is a fine and compact example of Jodhpur's well-preserved heritage properties, featuring modernized yet recognizably Rajput architecture for its design and external aesthetic. Its red sandstone structure cuts a striking figure as it stands tall above the waters of Gulab Sagar Lake. Its arched doorways and windows are key features of Rajputani architecture, as well as the intricately designed decorations on passageways. Moreover, the intricate latticed windows are a native design that takes advantage of cool breezes ventilating the bedrooms.

In terms of the interior, the property is heavily modernized, with tiled floors and brightly painted rooms, even featuring frescoes and naturalistic, geometric design patterns placed in certain areas and furnishings, that maximize light and livable space for the comfort of guests.
