Queens Head Inn has been serving the people of Hawkshead and travelers in Cumbria since the 17th century, having become a fixture of the community and its history. Renovations over the centuries have ensured the structure remains in fine condition, while also retaining many of its old features. Since the Queens Head Inn was founded back in the early 17th century, the building features a half-timbered construction popular during that time period. Other notable architectural elements on the outside include sash windows with vertical glazing bars and horns, which are hallmarks of the Georgian and Victorian eras.
