Jagat Palace dates back to the 1830s. During that time, the rulers would often construct havelis and palaces to serve as royal residences. It was believed that Jagat Palace was one such royal residence constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, although, it was later confirmed that his son, Maharaja Ram Singh II, built the property in 1838.
Jagat Palace now operates as a luxury hotel under the Jagat Singh Hotels Group led by Kr. Jagat Singh Rathore and his family. The property continues to exude royal elegance and grandeur with its traditional architecture and decor. Similar to Jagat Palace, they also operate the nearby Hotel Pushkar Palace.
Design and Architecture
Jagat Palace is dressed to impress, right from its majestic facade of cream and red sandstone adorned with intricate carvings. The palace boasts the Indo-Mughal architectural style with domes, archways, and latticework. The interiors offer period furniture and antique details that would take you back in time. You'll also find the signature jharokhas that Rajasthani havelis are famous for.
