Before Thalazur Bandol Ile Rousse was built, the spot where the hotel now stands was once occupied by Villa Youp La La. Its owner was the famed singer and actress Mistinguett, whose spectacular stage and film performances made her an icon of France's Années Folles, its equivalent of the Roaring Twenties. However, the villa eventually fell into neglect and was replaced by a sports center with various facilities and courts.

It was until the 1960s that the property would once again change hands, and the modern Thalazur Bandol Ile Rousse would finally be built upon it.

Design and Architecture

Despite the sleek and well-defined contemporary features of the hotel, much of its designs still follow the original plans set by the architects Fleury and Claude Linossier. The hotel's architecture makes use of large windows or glass panels, ensuring the warm Bandol sun always shines upon the guests. The furnishings and decor evoke a classic ambiance, brought about by the trendy vintage styles and comforting soft colors.

Les Oliviers

Let Chef Martin Feragus take you on a culinary adventure along the Azure Coast's mountains and seas. He and his team make use of the region's finest ingredients, sourced from the fresh catches of Bandol's fisherfolk, and the seasonal produce and pickings of local farms.

Le Bistrot Lumière

Also led by Chef Martin, the hotel's bistro restaurant specializes in seasonal dishes, providing a refreshing dining space with meals that can be enjoyed while basking in the season's weather.

La Goélette

Dine on the freshest seafood taken directly from the Mediterranean. La Goélette is a beachside brasserie that provides filling and delicious meals prepared just the way you like them, along with curated meats and vegetables sourced from local producers.

Cultural and Outdoor Experiences

The whole area of Bandol will be your playground if you take your next holiday here. Foremost are Bandol's beaches, which have attracted vacationers for centuries. Thalazur Bandol Ile Rousse sits right along Renécros Beach, so you need only to step out of the hotel to enjoy the dazzling turquoise waters. Travelers can also charter boat rides and fishing trips if they'd like to explore the coastline. There are also nearby islands to visit, such as Bendor Island, which has a local community with food establishments and shops.

There are also numerous local sights to visit, such as the historic town church Eglise Saint-François-de-Sales de Bandol. If that's not enough, you can get your fill of the local culture by visiting the museums and galleries, such as the Galerie Joseph Ravaisou which features many of the landscape painter's works.

Thalazur Bandol Ile Rousse features three on-site restaurants so you can get in touch with the management and see if they can provide a small private space for your celebration. You can request a quiet table with a nice view, perfect for a personalized birthday or anniversary. They may also be able to provide a few extra services with an additional charge, such as hiring a local musician to provide evening entertainment.
